the delivery stage of labour and reduce the need for analgesia (pain-killers)
- Easing
the suffering of the disabled

Eating disorders- anorexia and bulimia
-
Asthma
- Nocturnal enuresis
(bedwetting)
- Stammering,
blushing, social phobias, panic attacks
Obsessive-compulsive disorders -
Physical issues, some of which are: irritable bowel syndrome, tinnitus (ringing
in the ears), and excessive sweating
-
Phobias: unreasonable fears of heights, animals, the dark, going out of doors,
and many other.
- Troubling
memories of past neglect and/or abuse that interfere with life
-
Performance anxiety: sports, exams/tests,
job interviews/performance, and
sexual confidence/response Despite
the competencies of the therapists, not all issues respond to a given treatment
modality, and in this, hypnotherapy is no different than psychology, psychiatry,
pharmacology or other approaches. We cannot promise results, and if a MHA member
does not feel confident or comfortable with a given client, the therapist will
refer elsewhere or decline involvement.
